Alternative Energy Development Board
Alternative Energy Development Board (AEDB) was established in May 2003 with the main objective to facilitate, promote and encourage development of Renewable Energy in Pakistan with a mission to introduce Alternative/Renewable Energy at an accelerated rate to achieve 10% share of renewable energy in the energy mix of the country.
It was created under Ministry of Water and Power and was headed by Chairman Air Marshal (retd.) Raja Shahid Hamid, Secretary Brig. Nasim Akhtar Khan and Director General Irfan Afzal Mirza.
